About me
Mary Poulter represents Director District #5 in central Iowa on the IASB Board of Directors. She began her service on the IASB Board in 2017. Poulter has served on the Colfax-Mingo Schools Board of Directors since 2015 and currently serves as vice president.
Poulter has been a teacher, principal and shared curriculum director for several Iowa school districts. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Central College and her Masters degree in Educational Administration from Iowa State University. She is the Colfax Library Board Secretary. Poulter has served on the Jasper County Empowerment Board. She is currently serving on the legislative task force for school safety as a representative of IASB.
She serves on the boards for the Iowa Schools Employee Benefits Association (ISEBA); Iowa Schools Joint Investment Trust (ISJIT); and Iowa Schools Cash Anticipation Program (ISCAP). She also serves as chair on the IASB Audit and Finance Committee.
She has earned nine Annual Board Awards for her ongoing commitment to learning. This award is given annually to individual board members who participate in a minimum of 15 hours of IASB-led learning opportunities.
Poulter lives in Colfax, Iowa.
