About me
Elizabeth Brennan serves as the president on the IASB Board of Directors. She began her service on the IASB Board in 2018. Brennan has served on the Heartland Area Education Agency Board of Directors since 2015 and is currently the Vice President. She served on the West Des Moines Schools Board of Directors from 2009-2021.
Brennan is an administrator at Montessori Children’s House in West Des Moines. She graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Arts in French and earned her teaching degree, with an ESL endorsement, from the University of Iowa. Brennan earned her international diploma in early childhood teaching from Montessori Centre International. She serves on a local bank board and is active in community, faith, social and philanthropic groups.
Brennan sits on the IASB Audit and Finance Committee and the Iowa Schools Joint Investment Trust (ISJIT) Board of Trustees. She previously served on the Legislative Resolutions Committee (LRC).
She has earned eight Annual Board Awards for her ongoing commitment to learning. This award is given annually to individual board members who participate in a minimum of 15 hours of IASB-led learning opportunities.
Brennan lives in West Des Moines, Iowa.
