About me
The Iowa Department of Education provides oversight to the state education system that includes PK-12 public schools, accredited nonpublic schools, Area Education Agencies, community colleges and teacher preparation programs. The Department works to establish rigorous standards and licensing for Iowa education practitioners that address student needs. With the Department Director, State Board of Education and community partners, the Department supports schools as they prepare students for college and career pathways and success.
