About me
Jennifer Borcherding represents Director District 6 on the IASB Board of Directors. She began her service on the IASB Board in 2021. Borcherding has served on the Cedar Rapids Schools Board of Directors since 2017. Her board involvement includes participating in superintendent searches and serving on the audit committee, the policy and compliance committee, the workforce recruitment and retention committee as well as facilities planning oversight.
Borcherding has supported students through her work as a paraeducator and substitute teacher. She is now President and CEO of a development company that serves social service agencies. Previously, she served on the Urban Education Network (UEN) Board and now actively serves on the YMCA Camp Wapsi Advisory Committee and the Envision Iowa Workforce Coalition. Borcherding also sits on the IASB Governance and Bylaws Committee and serves on the Iowa School Cash Anticipation Program (ISCAP).
She has earned four Annual Board Awards for her ongoing commitment to learning. This award is given annually to individual board members who participate in a minimum of 15 hours of IASB-led learning opportunities.
Borcherding lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
