For over 15 years, the Missouri Association of School Boards (MASB) has run the Center for Education Safety, dedicated to making Missouri schools safe for students, staff, faculty, and visitors. The state has developed a wide range of school safety trainings for school boards, covering critical topics like de-escalation, behavioral risk assessment, the board's role in preventing sexual abuse, reducing the school-to-prison pipeline, cybersecurity, and emergency operations planning.
To ensure these trainings are accessible to districts across Missouri, MASB uses a mobile TI training unit. These units provide interactive simulations, allowing board members and district staff to practice de-escalating high-stress safety situations.
Be sure to stop by and check out the TI mobile unit during the trade show breaks—and let us know what you think!
