About me
Laura McLean represents Director District #7 on the IASB Board of Directors, as of January 2023. McLean has served on the Atlantic Schools Board of Directors since 2019 and currently serves as the board vice president. She has served on the Building Projects, Superintendent Search, and Facilities Planning Committees.
McLean earned her Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska following an undergraduate degree in English and Political Science from Amherst College. She was a Fellow at the Colson Center and is currently an organizational development consultant. She is an active volunteer in leadership roles in her community as well.
She previously served on IASB’s Legislative Resolutions Committee, and currently sits on the Governance and Bylaws Committee. She has earned three Annual Board Awards for her ongoing commitment to learning. This award is given annually to individual board members who participate in a minimum of 15 hours of IASB-led learning opportunities.
McLean lives in Atlantic, Iowa.
