About me
Dr. Michelle Morse currently serves as the Superintendent for the Bettendorf Community School District. Dr. Morse began her career in public education twenty-nine years ago as a speech-language pathologist and classroom teacher. She has served in a variety of administrative positions including Executive Director of Special Education and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Dr. Morse has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Southern California in their Educational Leadership program for doctoral students, and at the College of the Canyons in their Child Development program. Dr. Morse holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California, master’s degrees in Special Education and Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts from Augustana College in Communication Disorders and Sciences. Dr. Morse lives with her husband and 16 year-old daughter, Peyton, who is a senior at Bettendorf High School. She and her family enjoy hiking, biking, and being outdoors. Dr. Morse’s greatest accomplishment in addition to being a mother is having the privilege of doing what she loves and is passionate about; instilling the love and passion for life-long learning. Over the course of her career, Dr. Morse stated she has learned more from the students, their families, and the teams she has served than she could ever teach them.
